Role Summary:

As the Director of Estates and Facilities (E&F), you will hold a critical executive position accountable for the strategic oversight and operational leadership of the Trust’s E&F services. This role ensures all facilities are safe, compliant, and aligned with the clinical needs of the Trust.

Your skills and expertise will guide the future quality of the estate and the integration of best practices, ensuring that the built environment is safe for patients, visitors, and staff, is managed effectively and efficiently and adapts to changing healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide strategic E&F Leadership and management advice to the Chief Executive and Trust Executive Management Team.

* Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive E&F, Estates, Sustainability, Health & Safety, and Security strategies.

* Oversee significant strategic, capital, and operational projects, including SLA/EFM contracts with partner providers.

* Foster strategic partnerships with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and system partners to enhance service delivery.

* Uphold and drive regulatory standards and compliance with national policies, creating a co-production culture with clinical teams and service users.

Role Requirements:

* Master’s level qualification or equivalent experience in a technical or E&F discipline.

* Demonstrated leadership and strategic management experience within large facilities management, responsible for budgets up to £19m and 230 wte staff.

* Proven track record in managing diverse teams across Estates, Security, Porters, Cleaning, Laundry and Linen, Catering, Waste, Telecommunications, Car Parking, Clinical Engineering, Grounds and Gardens, Fire, Health and Safety, and Capital Development.

* Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including the Trust Board, Executive Team, and external partners.
