£75000-£100,000 + Car Allowance + 15% Bonus

We are seeking a visionary Director of Engineering to join our prestigious team, with a specific focus on Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations.
Key Responsibilities of the Director of Engineering:
Lead the engineering team at our MRO-focused site, overseeing the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of avionics electronic components and units.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring our MRO operations remain at the cutting edge of industry standards and best practices in avionics electronics.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations, quality assurance, and supply chain to optimise processes and enhance efficiency in avionics electronics maintenance.
Develop strategic plans and goals for engineering operations, aligning with business objectives and customer requirements in avionics electronics.
Foster a culture of excellence and accountability, empowering team members to achieve their full potential and deliver exceptional results in avionics electronics.
Qualifications of the Director of Engineering:
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Extensive experience in engineering leadership roles within the aerospace and avionics industry, with a strong background in electronics or mechatronics within avionics.
Proven track record of success in equipment maintenance and fault finding, aswell as design, manufacture and testing of Avionics equipment
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards a shared vision in avionics electronics.
Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for driving continuous improvement in avionics electronics.
