Director - Building Surveying Job Overview

● Provide strategic leadership to the Building Surveying team in Manchester and contribute to UK‑wide technical services growth.

● Lead and manage a varied portfolio of professional surveying assignments and complex client projects.

● Oversee delivery of high‑quality surveying, reporting, contract administration, defect analysis, dilapidations, and other building consultancy services.

● Build and nurture client relationships, drive business development and secure new work streams.

● Mentor and develop team members, including associates and senior surveyors, ensuring standards of excellence and professional best practice.

● Act as a key representative of the business in the region, promoting the firm's expertise and brand.

Director - Building Surveying Job Requirements

● MRICS qualified (essential) with strong professional credibility.

● Significant experience in building surveying or technical property consultancy, with demonstrable project leadership.

● Proven track record of managing complex assignments and client portfolios within a chartered practice.

● Excellent communication, commercial acumen, and people leadership capabilities.

● Experience in business development and client relationship management is highly desirable.
