I am currently recruiting on behalf of our Luxury Automotive client based in Crewe who are seeking a Dimensional Management Engineer to join their team
Job Description
As Dimensional Management Engineer your main responsibilities are:
Creation of tolerance analysis models utilising 3DCS.
Includes all BIW, Final assembly interior and exterior parts and additional parts on a case by case basis.
Development of the model based on Inputs from various data sources, tolerance, cad, closure set documentation, T&D tolerances information and part location strategy.
Continuous maintenance of the model to capture CAD updates, Build Sequence changes, Closure Set process , location strategies, part tolerances, surface design, G7R Section locations, ensuring traceability and documentation.
2D Drawing checks against the model inputs including mods to model as required.
Weekly generation of predicted variation results at G&R sections, as defined through Cross functional G&R reviews.
Collaboration of TA Model Inputs against G&R plan at pre-determined intervals.
Feasibility studies for different concept strategies.
Validation of R&D drawings through Cross checking RPS and tolerance details against model inputs
Maintain all KPI reports relevant to dimensional management including: Review on time attendance, Project milestone
Delivery status, Output of target study reports against plan & G&R Section status against targetQualifications / Skills needed
