Digital Service Manager

Huntingdon (Hybrid) - Salary: £55,092 - £62,004 per annum

CE Solutions are proud to be working with Huntingdonshire District Council (HDC) who are looking for a Digital Service Manager.

The role: It's an exciting time to join the team, with HDC’s partner's transformation journeys well underway to move them to a 'digital first' organisation and deliver new digital services to their customers whilst streamlining and automating our business processes.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of ICT and Digital, you'll establish and evolve a live service support model that enables a positive customer and user experience by thinking about availability, security and performance across all of their digital services. While live service is important, you will understand the interplay with the product and platform teams who are delivering a constant stream of change into the live environment.

As a Digital Manager, you'll work across their partnership implementing new technology to improve operational performance, adapt to legislative change and reduce the administrative burden our operational teams face by automating back-office systems.

You'll also work with management teams to implement change and improve the quality and use of data to achieve operational and partner requirements:

* Driving service performance across all applications, irrespective of hosting type or location, that underpin the digital services for customers or internal users

* Defining and maintaining the key measures of service that will be used to assess, communicate and improve service performance

* Establishing appropriate dashboarding and reporting capabilities to analyse and share service performance trends

* Supporting major incident resolution

* Manage post-incident reviews and problem management activities

* Advising on release management activities based on current levels of service performance and other events (change freezes, vendor releases and other release activities)

* Driving continual improvement activities based on learnings through Product Owners

* Ensuring stakeholders have suitable visibility of digital service performance trends and continual improvement efforts.

The candidate:

The successful Digital Service Manager will have a strong understanding of digital service performance and an ability to drive continual improvement. You should be able to utilise your effective leadership and interpersonal skills to create a sense of community amongst our Partners Project teams and ICT Services.

To succeed in this role, you should be conscientious in your approach to work, utilising your previous leadership and programme management experience to showcase your high-level skills in organisation, communication and reliability.

This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
