We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Cybersecurity & Networking Technician to join a growing retail business in the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in cybersecurity and networking, with no prior industry experience required.
Working alongside experienced IT professionals, you will support the security, maintenance, and performance of our client’s network infrastructure and IT systems. You will gain valuable hands-on experience protecting business systems, supporting retail operations, and helping safeguard customer and company data.
The successful candidate will be passionate about technology, eager to learn, and committed to developing a career within cybersecurity and networking.
KEY DUTIES
* Assist in monitoring IT systems for potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
* Support the investigation and escalation of security alerts and incidents.
* Help maintain endpoint protection, antivirus, and security software.
* Assist with user access management and password security processes.
* Support the implementation of cybersecurity policies and best practices.
* Help promote cybersecurity awareness across the business.
