Description:
My client, headquartered in the UK, provide specialised engineering services to the printing industry. Due to growth, they are seeking an experienced engineer to work with a major print equipment manufacturer, serving key clients in need of immediate on-site technical assistance. This position is field based working around the Milton Keynes and Northampton areas, you will primarily work within a 20 mile radius of your home.
You will be expected to install, configure, maintain, and repair digital print equipment as well as demonstrate a proactive approach and contribute to maintenance related activities. The systems are complex and require quick learning and understanding; they will require the ability to rapidly identify issues and to provide optimal solutions.
You will be required to complete intensive training, including training at the manufacturer’s facilities in Spain.
Requirements for the successful candidates are:
A professional engineer who understands both mechanics and electronics OR an experienced operator of digital print equipment, familiar with technical troubleshooting and maintenance of printing presses, who is looking to become a full-time engineer
Passionate about engineering and with an understanding of customer focus
Dedication, teamwork, and a proactive attitude
The ability to interact at all levels of the organisation whether internally or externally
A problem solver who appreciates quick action and measurable results
Enjoys a diverse working environment
Previous field experience with support of high end or complex electro-mechanical equipment highly desirable
Strong troubleshooting skills down to electronics component level
Knowledge of electronic/electrical components including 3 phase mains power
Ability to read circuit diagrams
Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally further afield
Valid driving licence
Strong communication skills.
