Digital Marketing Assistant – £26 - £30K – Edinburgh (Hybrid)

The Role

Travel Connect is a leading and fast-growing travel company specialising in incredible European experiences for international clients. We're expanding our Marketing team and searching for a creative, positive, and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Assistant.

This role involves managing content and data on Travel Connect's websites, supporting daily marketing operations, and assisting with marketing projects. You'll need a strong grasp of content management systems (CMS) and excellent communication skills. Ideally, you'll thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the content and data on Travel Connect’s brand websites using CMS.
Support the Marketing Operations Lead in delivering marketing functions, managing requests, and facilitating project briefs.
Proactively address website issues through existing processes or by presenting alternative solutions.
Collaborate with the brand and content teams to develop compelling marketing content, including email templates, digital campaigns, and on-site banners.
Administer the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, ensuring assets are properly cataloged and accessible.
Main Projects:

Website Management/Maintenance:

Maintain and upload high-quality website content, including text, video, and images.
Review website component functionality and flag issues.
Test websites for usability and effectiveness.
Communicate updates and fixes to stakeholders.
Record and distribute flagged SEO issues to relevant teams.
Regularly update and distribute email and social marketing materials.
Support team members with campaign/project planning.
Undertake additional relevant projects as assigned.

The Person

Required:

Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role.
Strong IT skills.
Experience working with CMS platforms.
Preferred:

Understanding of Agile frameworks.
Basic coding knowledge (HTML, CSS).
Basic graphic software knowledge (Adobe Photoshop) and an understanding of layouts for web, email, and social content.
Understanding of SEO principles and web analytics tools.
Communication Skills:

Good English reading and understanding skills.
Excellent communication skills, including tact and clarity.
Ability to work independently and in groups.
Focused and adaptable to company culture.
Open to new ideas and able to articulate thoughts clearly.
Accepts and gives constructive feedback.
Proactively shares knowledge and learns from others
