WHAT TO EXPECT

Control the digital publication platforms for PR digital communication channels and help deliver departmental business goals, i.e. year-on-year traffic growth. 
Project management of existing site infrastructure and new digital projects for the PR department. Including creation of SOW (statements of work). Engage in UX / UI (user experience and interface) design and final UAT (user acceptance testing) with vendors for all digital projects.
Liaison with external agency project managers & digital developers and internal stakeholders (JLR IT dept.) to ensure digital properties meet company governance standards and sign off processes. Ensure digital channels function as specified and any post-launch technical difficulties are resolved. 
Ensure digital properties expand to meet the growing needs of the department and the changing landscape of digital publishing. 
Set SLAs with media site supplier and manage supplier relationship through weekly meetings for bug tracking and resolution. Advocate on behalf of media site CMS admins on prioritisation of bug fixes, new features etc. 
Maintain access control for CMS (Content Management System) admins and provide training for the media site CMS.
Overall control of publication of press releases & assets on the media website issued by the PR department. Work closely with other Comms & PR stakeholders i.e. Product PR, Corporate Comms, Brand & Experience, SV, Classic etc. plus the market PR representatives with a media site presence.
Advise PR content creators on technical issues (SEO, formatting, embedding of external content etc.) with regard to publishing content on the media sites. Brief media site content administrators on work schedules, priorities, maintenance work etc. 
Provide media site support for Jaguar, Jaguar Racing, Land Rover and JLR Corporate media sites across all markets with a media site presence. Including JLR Classic & SV.
Collaborate with and provide technical support for content creators in the Global PR team and market PR content creators / administrators. 
Observe JLR IT (Digital) requirement for annual penetration / security testing on all digital properties and manage process of implementing fixes via the supplier.
Ensure technical on-site SEO best practice is met. Develop technical and training manuals for new digital projects and roll out departmental training to meet goal of enabling all colleagues to be content publishers.
Liaison with Corporate PR & Royal & Diplomatic teams regarding emergency broadcast messages on media site.
Monitor website analytics, maintain online reporting dashboard and give input to flash reporting process.
 WHAT YOU'LL NEED - KNOWLEDGE

Digital content management systems i.e. Drupal
Technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
GA4 Google Analytics / Google Search Console
Understanding of online writing issues, such as house style and content structure
SEO, keyword and online research methods
Website analytics
Copyright and data regulations
Digital content layout and design
Photo editing (Photoshop) for image cropping / resizing + basic image manipulations
Video editing basics (i.e. downsizing 4K video to 1080p)
META data and Image EXIF / ITPC data
Hands on experience with MS Office
 WHAT YOU'LL NEED - SKILLS

Strong technical background in areas like web publication
Good organisational / team skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven department
Financial management and negotiating skills (SAP, Budget control etc.)
Copy-editing, proofreading and attention to detail
Ability to build relationships with clients and partners
Creative skills to find interesting ways to present information and generate new ideas
Ability to give and receive constructive feedback on work
Usability testing & UAT ((user acceptance testing) skills
Qualification in English, Business, Journalism or relevant field
Excellent writing skills in English (i.e. grasp of English grammar, punctuation and spelling)
 Additional requirements

Flexibility to support launch/reveal events, often on location (UK or abroad)
Willingness to work out-of-hours to support product launches and events
Monitoring of digital properties 24/7 (especially to support foreign markets and new product launches in different time zones)
