Description:
My client, a prestigious jewellery specialist in London, is looking to recruit a Diamond Setter.
Responsibilities
Set diamonds and gemstones including micro-setting, side-stone and central stone setting using a variety of techniques as required per design
Complete tasks promptly as per the manufacturing notes
Adhere, mentor & teach our quality standards
Use of the laser and handling of related operations
Communicate any queries which may arise during production
Follow company procedures when processing client orders including H&S & security protocols
Record timings of own productivity accurately
Assist Lead Setters, Head of Workshop Operations & Head of Workshop L&D as and when required
Assist in the recruitment and/or training of new setting staff as required
Lead by example and is a representative of the workshop, workshop etiquette and health & safety
Provide cover for Lead Setters when requiredRequirements
Have strong technical knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes
Be confident and able to set a variety of advanced level designs, setting styles and cuts of stone
Work using a microscope
Be proficient with our laser technology
Work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently
Demonstrate a high level of quality control
Follow company security procedures
Have a positive attitude and be an active company ambassador
Engage with clients on workshop tours when required
Have an exceptional eye for detail
Be approachable and supportive to others in the setting team and business as a whole
Lead by example in using best practices in and around the workshopSkills
Confident stone setting skills with at least 4 years on the bench
