Our client, a reputable family-run independent garage specialising in BMW and Mini vehicles, is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician. This Diagnostic Vehicle Technician role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join a well-established team committed to quality service and ongoing professional development.
Benefits:
Competitive basic salary circa £38,000
OTE approximately £40,000
Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
Optional overtime on Saturdays
Ongoing training for hybrid and electric vehicle systems
Support to gain MOT testing license

Continuous salary reviewsDuties of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
Conduct routine vehicle servicing and maintenance
Diagnose and repair vehicle faults efficiently and accurately
Use BMW ISTA diagnostics systems and Autologic equipment effectively
Perform vehicle inspections and test drives
Carry out complex repairs as required
Complete all service and repair documentation accurately
Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures
Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional imageRequirements of a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds AVCE qualification, or equivalent experience
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a workshop environment
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, ideally with BMW ISTA system knowledge
Full UK driving licence
Own toolkit sufficient for vehicle repairs and diagnostics
Knowledge of modern vehicle systems and technologies
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
