Yolk Engineering is managing the search for an R&D Test Engineer to join a global leader in electronic manufacturing. This is a broad role carrying out a variety of test and verification activities and experiments, contributing to the development of next generation technologies and products.
We're looking for someone with a background in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, who'll enjoy a role that includes a mixture of hands on/hands off work. This is what you'll be doing:
Carrying out varied test and verification activities to support Design & Development teams
Develop and validate new test methods
Carry out product and component improvement activities - test, verification and fault finding
Assisting with prototype development
Recording and compiling test data, writing detailed reports to support product development
Carry out test equipment calibrationThis is what you'll need
An inquisitive mind and ability to experiment, interpret results and improve the next test
A Degree, HNC or HND in an engineering discipline
Experience of technical report writing
Hands on skills - using electronic test equipment, or soldering, or writing code: Arduino/MATLABAnd this is what you'll get in return
£30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
