Development Technician

At Khuda Technology, we have partnered with a client to find a talented Development Technician. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the repair, testing, and development of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems. Your tasks will include conducting surveys, repairing circuit boards, performing functional and system testing, building prototype systems, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct surveys on returned assemblies and carry out necessary modifications and repairs.

* Perform repairs to PCB and wired assemblies to IPC standards.

* Test electrical and electronic assemblies and equipment using standard safe operating procedures to MoD and commercial standards.

* Collaborate with Engineering to build first-off prototype equipment and find optimal solutions.

* Ensure adherence to company procedures and documentation standards.

* Undertake testing and laboratory testing of products.

* Ensure health and safety legislation and policies are adhered to for a safe and compliant working environment.

* Carry out any other duties as reasonably required by Management.

* Support the building of prototype systems by working closely with the Engineering team.

* Ensure supporting documentation and company procedures are followed.

Qualifications/Skills:

* Ability to read electrical, electronic, and wiring diagrams.

* Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements and legislation.

* HND/HNC in a relevant discipline or equivalent.

* IPC 610/620 qualification.

* J-STD-001 certification.

* IPC-771/7721 certification.

* Awareness of ESD prevention practices and component handling.

* Technicians should demonstrate a broad range of general engineering skills, including communication (written and verbal), systems engineering methodologies, and an understanding of safety and configuration control.
