Are you a driven and motivated Project Manager looking for new challenges and opportunities and the potential to work with both local and offshore based engineers? Then this could be for you.

Offering an exciting opportunity to join our innovative development team to project manage the development of new and product evolution projects. We are looking for a professional project manager to manage one or more technical projects within the R&D department ensuring innovative new products are defined and developed efficiently with high levels of quality.

Responsibilities

Leading project teams using both waterfall, hybrid, and LEAN/Agile development methodologies.
Managing project constraints of scope, time, cost, and quality.
Working with Portfolio and R&D Development Leaders to clearly define and interpret the requirements of the project with particular focus on the customers' needs.
Working with Product Management and R&D Development Leaders to identify potential solutions and build executable project plans.
Developing project estimates for time and cost.
Identifying, mitigating, and communicating project risk.
Pro-actively reviewing project progress, anticipation of potential problems leading to proposals for alternative actions to ensure the project remains on plan.
Monitoring and reporting of the status of the project.
Ensuring the team have the skills required to deliver the projects and working with resource managers to assist in specifying skills improvements in the department.
Coordinating resources allocated to the project from outside the core R&D team (E.G. Purchasing, Production and Test Engineering) to ensure that a complete package is delivered to the company's sales channels.
Identifying and proposing changes to the company's current working practices to improve quality and time to market.
Skills/competencies

A minimum of 3 years' experience in project management.
Experience of Waterfall or Agile development methodologies.
You must be capable of driving the team in the estimating of task durations, identification, and mitigation of risks to the project and pro-actively managing resources to achieve the goals set by the project.
Excellent people and communication skills.
You must be aware of product development life cycles.
You must have experience in a new product development environment, with a proven track record of successful delivery to customers.
Ability to write & understand technical documents.
Managing a team that is geographically dispersed.
Desirable

PMI, PRINCE II, Certified Scrum master (CSM) or equivalent formal certification.
Experience of New Product Introduction into local or remote manufacturing facilities.
Experience of Critical Chain Project Management methodology.
Experience of working in an ISO9000 TickIT approved process.
Experience of Project management tools. (e.g., MS Project, Jira and Confluence, Concerto).
An engineering background in Electronics, Software or Mechanics.
Degree in an Engineering discipline, or similar related subject
