Development Manager
Cornwall
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Development Manager who is looking to progress their career within house building. Working with an experienced Land and Planning team, you will work across Cornwall and Cornwall assisting to deliver mixed residential development programmes.
You will have proven development management experience with either a housebuilding or housing registered provider and will have the ability to lead on a varied and mixed portfolio of open market/s106 and affordable schemes as well as converting an ever-growing strategic land portfolio. You will be responsible for the whole development process from land acquisition stage to obtaining financially viable and technically sound planning consents.
The person:
* Essential you hold a HND or equivalent level 5 qualification in any discipline and it is desirable this is in planning, construction or development related discipline.
* Knowledge and experience of the development process within housebuilding from land acquisition through to sales and good working knowledge of central and local government planning and UK housing strategies and policies is essential.
* You will have a proven track record of achieving successful planning consents for residential schemes within a housebuilding environment
* Knowledge of legal matters around land acquisitions, options, contracts and s106 agreements. Good project management skills
* A full driving licence is essential as travel throughout Devon & Cornwall is an integral part of the role.
