Job Title; Development Engineer
Salary; £37,816 per annum - £43,678 per annum
Shift Pattern; Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
Location; Oakham, Rutland
Our client are currently seeking a Development Engineer to join their busy team! Are you an experienced Engineer who posses an electrical qualification?
If so, our client could have the perfect opportunity for you! Joining as part of their Engineering and Maintenance team, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the plant through improvements and recommendations ensuring that production downtime is kept to a minimum on a variety of automated systems.
The Development Engineer Role;
* To identify opportunities for improvements and make recommendations to improve machine and process effectiveness
* To assist in managing engineering projects from inception through to completion, including:
* Writing equipment specifications
* Managing all appropriate resources
* Implementing and monitoring
* Compliance with budgetary limitations.
* Effective hand over to production.
* To adhere to company Health and Safety requirements.
* This position is not solely office based and requires a hands on approach
The Development Engineer Candidate;
* Timed served engineer, electrically bias
* Ideally, a good working knowledge of PLC and servo control systems
* Understand and be able to work with Pneumatics and Hydraulics
* Good computer skills, CAD systems, ideally Auto-Cad would be desirable
* Have experience on installing and commissioning new pieces of equipment
* Good understanding in all aspects of Health and Safety, including control of contractors
* Proven ability to work and deliver to agreed timescales
* Self motivated and work on own initiative as well as part of a team
* The analytical ability to approach, manage and solve problems of varying levels of complexity
* Be prepared to take a hands on approach to the work
* Good communication and organisational skills
