Description:
Development and Cloud Support Engineer
Our client based in Sheffield is currently looking for a Development and Cloud Support Engineer. You will resolve escalated software, hardware, and cloud support requests. Provide high-level technical information to global engineering teams, identify project opportunities, and support the company's move into hybrid and cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage technical issues, communicate clearly, and ensure fault resolution.
Provide timely, accurate support to internal engineering teams.
Reproduce systems for investigations and maintain the hardware support environment.
Collaborate with Product Management to prioritize and communicate product issues.
Filter, classify, and issue technical release notes, collaborating with development teams.
Deploy and support the security software platform based on containerized services.

Excellent communication skills for delivering complex technical information.
Analytical mindset for fault diagnostics and process analysis.
Ability to work under project deadlines, managing customer expectations.
Strong willingness to accept ownership and responsibility.
Desire to build on basic cloud/DevOps/Azure knowledge.
Experience and Qualifications:
2nd or 3rd line technical support experience.
Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
Windows-based operating systems troubleshooting.
IT Networking knowledge.
Exposure to basic cloud/Azure services.
Database knowledge.
Understanding of virtualization technologies.
Degree in computing/software development/IT/networking or equivalent.
Beneficial Skills/Experience:
Awareness of the surveillance market and integrated security systems.
Experience in Windows Server, Enterprise Storage Platforms, Active Directory, SQL Server/IBM DB2 Admin, Virtualization, WAN/LAN networking.
Understanding of enterprise-scale storage solutions.
Cisco or other advanced networking qualifications.
Knowledge of Java.
Awareness of a DevOps working environment.
