Arla Foods Stourton Dairy are looking for proficient Despatch Operatives to join our team on a full time and permanent basis to start immediately where you will play an integral part in the distribution of our fantastic dairy products.

As a Despatch Operative at our Stourton site you will be responsible for completing all cold store functions including order picking, physical inventory, loading and unloading vehicles, house-keeping duties where you you will be working a full time, 4 on, 4 off shift pattern. The role offers progression opportunities with Logistics or into Production.

The successful candidate will be responsible for

The successful candidate will be working in a fast paced environment, maneuvering rollers cages where you will ensure full completion of daily targets whilst maintaining strict food hygiene and Health & Safety standards within the department.

With this in mind, it is important to perform quality inspections on materials and finished product before sending to customer whilst also performing specified cleaning tasks as per our daily/monthly schedules.

What you’ll need to be successful in the role

* Previous experience of working in a warehousing or cold store environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided

* A motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative and knows about supply chain processes and sticking to health and safety rules

* You must be a strong communicator, who is able to prioritise tasks in a timely and organised manner and contribute to regular department meetings.

* You’ll be a strong performer with a good attendance record and a willingness to learn further skills
