About the Role

Our Client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Temporary Designated Teacher to support looked-after and previously looked-after learners, helping to promote educational achievement, wellbeing, safeguarding, and inclusion.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting vulnerable learners by coordinating support, monitoring progress, and working collaboratively with education professionals, carers, social workers, and support teams to ensure positive outcomes are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate and contribute to Personal Education Plans (PEPs) and other review processes.

* Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, ensuring actions are communicated and followed through.

* Monitor attendance, engagement, progress, wellbeing, and support interventions.

* Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation.

* Work closely with curriculum teams, pastoral staff, carers, social workers, and external agencies.

* Help remove barriers to learning and promote positive educational outcomes.

* Escalate safeguarding, welfare, attendance, or progress concerns when appropriate.

* Promote trauma-informed, attachment-aware, and inclusive approaches across the organisation.

About You

* Understanding of the educational and wellbeing needs of looked-after and previously looked-after learners.

* Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and appropriate information sharing.

* Strong organisational, communication, and record-keeping skills.

* Ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external professionals.

* A learner-centred, inclusive, and non-judgemental approach.

* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference to learners' lives while working within a supportive educational environment.
