The role of the Design Technician – Timber Frame & Roof Truss will involve:
* Design Technician position dealing with a range of timber frame and roof truss projects for main contractors and house builders
* Produce and manage design programmes in line with client requirements
* Work closely with the estimating team to contribute technical knowledge and value engineering at tender stage
* Liaise with Production Manager to ensure all manufacturing information is correct and in line with requirements
* Working within a team of 4 Design Technicians
* Build and develop client relationships throughout projects
* Liaise with client design teams and external consultants in relation to live projects
* Liaise with site team to resolve queries
The ideal applicant will be a Design Technician – Timber Frame & Roof Truss industry with:
* Must have design experience within the timber frame, timber structures, timber construction or roof trusses market sector
* May potentially consider strong design experience within the wider construction industry (5 years+)
* Must be a proficient user of AutoCAD
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings
* Highly organised with good attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment
