Top Tier Main Contractor - Build
Central London office and projects
£70,000 - £75,000 and package
Due to a significant increase in work, an exciting opportunity has been created within the Commercial Office business unit of a leading Top Tier Main Contractor based in Central London for a Design Manager. With a turnover in excess of £800 million they proven track record in delivering high-quality construction projects.
With a commitment to excellence, innovation, and safety, they take pride in their diverse portfolio of successful projects that contribute to the development of communities and infrastructure.
They are seeking a Design Manager who has previous experience of working on commercial office projects that are a mix of, fit out, heavy cut and carve and new build in logistically challenging locations.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Manage all processes in relation to producing a set of drawings for the construction project
Overseeing internal and external design consultant teams
Controlling the development of the design concept into manufacturing and managing the installation information
Managing the design process using commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise
Supporting, understanding and advising the client as to the requirements and obligations in the development of a building design
Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice where appropriate
Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales
Striving to eliminate health and safety risks in the design and financial risks during construction.
This Design Manager role will require a candidate with up to 5 years experience within the Design Manager role with a similar main contractor with stable and progressive career history.
