Design Manager – Civils
Exeter
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a delivery team, working on civil engineering schemes across the South West and beyond. The Design Manager is a pivotal role responsible for the design function on all live projects.
Projects will be varied and include all preconstruction design management, from tender stage though to completion, manging and coordinating all design information both internally and externally.
The role:
* Manage all design information.
* Apply value engineering principles to ensure best value for all parties.
* Ensure an effective construction phase, understanding site practices, risks, costs, and co-ordination.
* Develop relationships with clients during early concept stage and manage expectations.
* Chair and minute design team meetings.
What you will need:
* Experience within a Design or PM role within a civil engineering discipline.
* Well-developed UK technical construction knowledge
* Civil Engineering qualification
* Ful driving license as regular site visits will be expected.
