My client are a prestigious, award-winning UK property and construction group with an excellent reputation for delivering significant, high-quality projects across the country. Schemes include luxury mixed-use developments and major residential / student accommodation projects.
They are now recruiting for a Design Manager to join their business. You'll be working on projects across the Manchester and surrounding areas.
As the Design Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Leading the design process for various projects.
Ensuring compliance with development design codes and guidelines.
Reviewing and approving architectural plans from self-builders and custom builders.
Collaborating with architects, contractors, and engineers for cohesive design implementation.
Liaising with planning authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
Communicating with plot buyers to understand their design requirements and provide guidance.
Conducting site visits to monitor construction progress and quality.
Maintaining design standards throughout the construction phase.
Addressing design-related issues that arise during the build process.
Promoting sustainability and innovation:
Encouraging sustainable building practices and ensuring eco-friendly designs.
Advocating for innovative design solutions that enhance the community's aesthetic and functional quality.Skills required:
Extensive understanding of building codes and design standards.
Capable of overseeing multiple projects concurrently.
Skilled in using design software
