Design Manager – Residential Construction
Location: Central London
Salary: £95,000–£110,000 per annum (proposed, subject to approval)
Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
Ridgeway & Co Recruitment are recruiting a Design Manager for an established main contractor delivering residential construction projects across Central London.
This position will suit an experienced Design Manager with a strong technical understanding of multi-storey residential developments, apartment construction and the coordination of architectural, structural and building services design.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the design process from pre-construction through project delivery.
*
Coordinate architects, structural engineers, M&E consultants and specialist designers.
*
Manage design programmes, submissions and approvals.
*
Identify and resolve technical design issues.
*
Ensure design information is coordinated and issued in line with construction programmes.
*
Work closely with site management and commercial teams.
*
Review compliance with building regulations and project specifications.
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Design Manager with a main contractor.
*
Residential or mixed-use construction experience.
*
Strong understanding of architectural, structural and M&E coordination.
*
Experience managing external design consultants.
*
Knowledge of construction-stage design management and technical approvals.
*
Relevant architectural, engineering or construction qualification preferred.
