What you'll be doing

Reporting directly into the Head of Design and Technical (Energy) you, as a Design Interface Manager (Energy) will form part of the Design Interface Management Forum, liaising with all key internal  and  external  stakeholders  to  ensure  compliance  with  and  management  of  the Design Interface Management Plan.

As a Design Interface Manager, you will have the following accountabilities:

You will liaise with Regional Scotland Groups and UKCS design forums (relevant to the energy sector and related projects) to help support compliant and consistent delivery of all design and technical related matters.

Collaborate with the Regional energy design team ensuring compliant and consistent design delivery.

Support projects from inception (work-winning) through to site delivery to help ensure they receive a consistent and compliant energy design offer.

Comply with the project energy design compliance checklist and audit as required.

Identify all competency and training requirements to the Head of Design and Technical (Energy).

Regularly liaise with Regional Digital Lead to ensure the energy design offer is compliant with all digital requirements.

Regularly liaise with Civils and Building Design Management (DM) community to ensure the regional energy design offer is compliant with all relevant DM requirements, related to the energy sector.

Regularly liaise with Quality and Performance Lead to ensure the regional energy design offer is compliant with all relevant Quality requirements.

Liaise with Operations / project teams to ensure they have a full understanding of energy design and associated procedures, such that all energy design interface related requirements are met.

Liaise with Energy Document Control Lead to ensure compliant and consistent CDE / project document delivery.

Who we're looking for

The following traits / qualifications are essential to be successful in this role

Proven experience at a senior level in delivering design services, within a Work Winning environment.

Proven experience at a senior level in delivering design services, within a live project delivery setting.

Experience of successfully implementing design strategies and experience of  large  complex  Major Projects is required;

Leadership skills in a matrix organisation are required to deliver design services in a timely manner with a customer and Sector specific focus.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are required, coupled with an ability to form effective relationships with partners under time pressure.

Will know ‘what good looks like’ in bid submissions and work winning and have hands on experience of delivering efficient design on a project in a timely manner.

Have experience of change management and be able to demonstrate success around organisational transformation.

Good working knowledge of BIM is required. The individual will have experience within the most current forms of procurement. Professional membership with the ICE or equivalent is a requirement.

Excellent IT Skills including Autodesk product suite (desirable) and Microsoft Office (essential).
