Description:
Piling Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer to join our clients team.
They have an opportunity for a experienced piling, foundations, or geotechnical engineer. The company offers a variety of piling techniques, including basement construction, new build foundations, and other ground improvement/stabilisation disciplines.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality piling, foundations, and geotechnical/ground engineering design solutions.
* Challenge and review design elements to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
* Produce high-quality materials, identifying constraints and improvements.
* Regularly update planners and project teams.
* Work with estimating and pre-contract teams for timely design submissions.
* Prepare regular design performance reports.
* Participate in review and progress meetings.
* Ensure designs adhere to business objectives and legal requirements.
* Manage risks effectively and deliver agreed outputs.
Requirements
* Proven track record in the design of piles, foundations, and/or geotechnical/ground engineering contracts.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience with multi-discipline geotechnical contract design and familiarity with technical specifications, codes, and standards.
* Experience in regular reporting procedures.
* Understanding of being a member of a design department in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience working in a client-focused environment.
* Ability to benchmark, understand best practices, and analyze contract information.
* Ability to manage client relations and promote alternative design solutions.
* Experience in networking or communicating with clients and their advisors.
