Design Engineer - Piling & Ground Engineering
Location: North West England
Sector: Ground Engineering/Civil Engineering
We're working with a specialist ground engineering contractor to recruit a Design Engineer to join their team.
This is an opportunity to join an established business operating within the piling and ground engineering sector, supporting the delivery of technical design solutions across a range of projects.
The role would suit a Design Engineer with a background in civil or structural engineering who is looking to develop their experience within a specialist contracting environment.
The Role
You'll be involved in the design and technical development of piling and ground engineering solutions, working alongside colleagues across engineering and project delivery to help ensure designs are practical, efficient and fit for purpose.
Responsibilities are likely to include:
Producing and developing engineering designs for piling and ground engineering projects.
Undertaking design calculations and technical assessments.
Preparing design documentation, drawings and technical submissions.
Working collaboratively with project teams to develop practical engineering solutions.
Ensuring designs meet relevant technical standards, project requirements and industry regulations.
Liaising with internal teams and other project stakeholders throughout the design process.
About You
We're keen to speak with Design Engineers who have:
A degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience in a design engineering role, ideally within civil engineering, structural engineering, piling or ground engineering.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ability to interpret technical information and develop practical design solutions.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Experience within piling or specialist ground engineering would be advantageous, although candidates with a relevant civil or structural design background may also be of interest.
