We’re supporting a successful and long-established security systems specialist in their search for a Design Engineer.
The Design Engineer will support the delivery, review and coordination of physical security system design information across project milestones, working closely with the BIM team to help ensure the design intent is accurately reflected in BIM-produced deliverables.

Responsibilities:
* Produce and maintain S&D documentation in line with project requirements
* Carry out QA/QC reviews of BIM-produced design deliverables
* Support compliance and client-specific requirements
* Track client-specific requirements and incorporate them into the design process
* Update design information at each project milestone as layouts, requirements or project information changes
* Liaise with the BIM team to ensure the design is fully captured within models and drawings
* Review drawings from other disciplines, including telecoms and electrical
* Ensure security system dependencies are captured within other discipline drawings, including commando and fibre requirements
* Carry out power calculations
* Review federated models and highlight coordination issues
* Check cable distances
* Advise on headend locations
* Support lessons learnt documentation
