Description:
Civil / Structural Design Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Civil / Structural Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging permanent and temporary works designs, producing practical engineering solutions from design through to construction.
The Role
*
Produce structural calculations, drawings and technical designs.
*
Design permanent and temporary works including shafts, retaining walls, foundations, slabs and reinforced concrete structures.
*
Deliver reinforced concrete and structural steel designs to Eurocodes.
*
Work closely with geotechnical, construction and temporary works teams.
*
Support constructability reviews and value engineering.
*
Prepare design reports, specifications and assurance documentation.
*
Manage design risks and ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and UK standards.
*
Provide technical support throughout project delivery.
About You
*
Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
*
Experience within structural design, infrastructure, temporary works or tunnelling.
*
Strong reinforced concrete and structural steel design knowledge.
*
Good understanding of Eurocodes and British Standards.
*
Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and structural analysis software.
*
Tekla, Revit or Robot experience would be advantageous.
*
Chartered or working towards ICE / IStructE Chartership is desirable.
