Your New Role
As Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of heavy equipment products. Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and cost-effective design solutions from concept through to production.
Key responsibilities will include:
Producing 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software
Supporting new product development and continuous improvement initiatives
Liaising with manufacturing, production, and supply chain teams to ensure design feasibility
Conducting design calculations and analysis to validate performance and safety requirements
Managing design changes and maintaining accurate engineering documentation
Supporting prototype builds and testing activitiesWhat You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you should have:
Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Experience in product design within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and a proactive approachDesirable:
Experience with FEA or design analysis tools
