Design Engineer

Location: Trafford

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 (DOE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Design Engineer to join 2CRSi, an innovative and rapidly expanding engineering business based in Trafford.

Following a significant increase in workload, the company is entering an exciting phase of growth and will soon be relocating to a larger facility to support continued expansion. With a close-knit team of around 18 employees, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a collaborative environment where your ideas and contributions will be recognised.

The successful candidate will be involved in the design and development of engineering solutions, producing detailed CAD models and technical documentation to support manufacturing and assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities

● Produce accurate 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using Solid Edge and SolidWorks.

● Create and maintain design documentation and technical drawings.

● Develop new and modify existing product designs.

● Produce assembly drawings and follow assembly requirements throughout the design process.

● Support manufacturing by ensuring designs are practical, accurate and fit for purpose.

● Maintain engineering documentation, bills of materials and design records.

● Work closely with production and other departments to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.

● Contribute ideas towards product improvements and continuous development.

Requirements

● Previous experience within a Design Engineer or CAD Design role.

● Proficient in Solid Edge and/or SolidWorks.

● Experience producing detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation.

● Strong 3D modelling skills.

● Good understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.

● Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

● Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a growing business.
