Description:
D33P Search are working with a specialist automotive business based in the Midlands, they design performance parts for vehicles within Motorsports, including Formula 1. They are currently looking for 2 design engineers to support them, you'll be working on the design of parts used at the top levels of motorsport, including Formula 1, Le mans, WRC and more.
Product development
* Design and develop new products to expand the companies range of products
* Removal/Refit of stock induction systems for measurement and scanning
* Occasional work on vehicles, removing stock induction systems for testing and development
* Create 3D CAD models / 2D drawings
* Prototype creation
* Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotations and ensure the smooth delivery of production parts
* Occasionally attending shows and events to represent the company.
* Operation of design equipment (Laser scanner,3D printers).
Skills and Experience
* 3+ years’ experience working within the design/automotive industry.
* Experience using 3D CAD design software.
* Practical experience and interest in vehicle maintenance/preparation and a working knowledge of modern and pre 90s road and competition vehicles
* Experienced in product development, from customer design requests to production
* Ability to prioritise workload & manage external inputs/requests, excellent communication, and co-ordination skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Excellent technical aptitude
* Previous experience of engineering projects/activities
* Problem-solving on existing products and product improvement
* You will have a good ability to use your own initiative, manage your own workload and projects
* Have a working knowledge of proprietary PC software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
This position will be working full time from their facility in Coventry, this position will cover all aspects of the project design cycle, from taking requirements through to delivery.
Salary - £40-50K (Dependant on experience)
