Astute's Renewables team is exclusively partnering with a UK wide ICP and EV charging installer, specialising in LV & HV design and implementations projects to recruit a Design Engineer in a remote, site-based role.
The Design Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £50,000, comprehensive medical scheme and bespoke perks platform.

Responsibilities and duties
Your responsibilities will include:
Producing designs and planning electrical distribution networks up to 11kV, that can vary up to 33kV.
Create detailed protection and metering single line diagrams.
Maintain accuracy of designs such as cable entry points into substations with suitable measurements.
Create associated drawings for review based on earthing studies.
Generating a range of diagrams such as schematic diagrams based on fundamental philosophies and engineer's sketches, high voltage power cable routing diagrams, creating detailed schemes and wiring diagrams, as well as formulating multicore diagrams and schedules.
Manage and control design changes with civils team, clients and IDNO.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Engineering Degree or equivalent C&G, NVQ, HNC, etc.
Working towards chartership (IEng, EngTech)
Personal skills
The Design Engineer would suit someone who is:
Experience creating electrical designs at up to 33kV.
Working in association with DNO/IDNO
Software skills including AutoCAD, Windebut, and Trimble.
Salary and benefits of the Design Engineer:
A salary of £35,000 - £50,000 dependant on experience
