Design Consultant – Job Specification
Experienced Design & Sales Consultant required for principally Kitchen and Fitted Bedroom & Home Living projects.
LOCATION:
Covering the Areas of Surrey, Bucks and Berks. Working from all showrooms as required and visiting customers on site - this role is a field based opportunity.
We are looking for an experienced Kitchen & Bedroom designer/salesperson to join our already strong and successful sales team to continue our growth plans.
JOB & PERSON SPECIFICATION:
To be successful you need to be an experienced, positive, and highly motivated Kitchen Design & Sales Consultant with a proactive approach and a proven track record in selling kitchens to both middle and higher end markets.
Whilst we will be expecting you to be sales driven and able to close deals, your style must be professional and not aggressive. We are looking for someone who is confident and presentable with excellent time management and organisational skills. You must be able to communicate well and build rapport. You must have technical knowledge of installations to enable accurate quoting and produce visually attractive and practical designs ready to order.
You will need to be able to manage a substantial workload and work to tight deadlines.
The role will require you to maximise sales and offer exceptional service maintaining our excellent reputation which we have built over the last 40 years.
Experience of CAD/Articad is preferable.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Design Consultations both at customers homes and in showrooms with architects plans
Visit clients when required for technical initial site survey, take accurate and detailed measurements.
Take a full briefing to include budget indication, keeping notes as appropriate.
Produce accurate estimates and visually attractive designs. Present designs to customers in a professional manner.
Administrative attention to detail with accurate Project Packs, ready to process by our experienced Operations team.
Maintain up to date product knowledge
Liaise with suppliers as required
Provide showroom support
Flexible working hours including evenings as required
Generate new leads
Accurate pricing of projects to achieve required margin
Communicate directly with installers during installation when required
Involvement in lead generation and customer service on sold projects.
Sales Target – to achieve between 1 million ex vat per annumWorking Hours - Approx. 9 –5 Monday – Saturday with an agreed weekday off on rota. Flexible working will be required to accommodate early appointments to suit customer requirements. To be successful, working most Saturdays is important in this role.
Own car and Full UK driving licence is essential
