Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Manager at an established Garden Centre near Biggleswade.
Key responsibilities of the Deputy Manager:
* Overseeing the day to day running of the store working alongside the Centre Manager and plant Area Manager
* Responsible for the running of all retail departments and café
* Ensure excellent standards of merchandising across the store
* Leading by example for service ensuring customers are at the heart of all we do
* Ensure systems are in place so that all products are labelled and priced in accordance with Trading Standards
* All aspects of team management including training and coaching
* Oversee staff rotas for holidays and cover
As an ideal Candidate for the Deputy Manager role:
We are looking for someone who has excellent people management skills, previous experience working in a retail or garden centre environment. Excellent communication skills and great motivation are essential to ensure the store team maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for the customer.
