A warm, welcoming and highly regarded nursery in Roehampton is looking for an enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to join their friendly leadership team. Whether you're an experienced Senior Practitioner ready for promotion or an established Deputy Manager seeking a fresh opportunity, this could be the perfect next move.
With the flexibility to work 4 or 5 days per week and starts in September/October 2026, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive setting that genuinely invests in both its children and staff.
The Role
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the nursery, working alongside the Nursery Manager to create an inspiring, safe and nurturing environment where children thrive.
You'll be responsible for:
Supporting the daily management of the nursery
Leading and motivating a passionate Early Years team
Maintaining outstanding standards of safeguarding, care and education
Supporting planning, observations and the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
Coaching and developing staff to deliver high-quality practice
Building positive relationships with parents, carers and external professionals
Helping to drive continuous improvement across the setting
We're Looking For
A Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant in line with DfE requirements)
Previous experience in a senior nursery or leadership role
A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and safeguarding requirements
A confident and supportive leader who enjoys developing others
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A positive, proactive and child-centred approach
