Job Title: Deputy Manager
Contract: Permanent, full time (Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm)
Location: Shepherds Bush
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Role: 
We are seeking to recruit a Deputy Manager for a children's residential service to assist in the smooth running of this autism-specific children’s home. Given that the nature of this appointment, we require applicants to have working experience as a Deputy Manager.

Key Responsibilities: 
• As Deputy Manager you will devise and maintain the staff rota
• Attend Network Meetings for young people as Deputy Manager
• Monitor and audit existing systems such as Medication records and procedures
• Perform Supervision for allocated staff
• Manage and monitor incident reports, including de-briefing where necessary
• As Deputy Manager liaise with LA and other stakeholders re respite admissions and packages
• Assist the Manager in the recruitment and retention of staff
• Be a point of contact for managing dysregulation, supporting colleagues with strategies
• Lead and manage Team Meetings
• Manage and support parent/carer and other visitors to the service and
• Support in the management of Covid-19 protocols: Infection control procedures, reporting and management of cases

Personal Specification: 
• NVQ Level 3 for Children and the Young People's Workforce or Children's Residential Care
• Has worked for at least 2 years, within the last 5 years, in a position as a Deputy Manager to the residential care of children.
• Experience of working with children and young people with autism in a residential setting
• Worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a residential setting
