Amber Mace are currently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager for a Domiciliary service based in Surrey. My client, a well-established care provider that pride themselves on providing the highest possible standard of care to their residents and helping their service users to live independently without sacrificing the quality of their care.
Reporting into the Registered Manager you will play a key role in managing and organising a team of dedicated support workers delivering services throughout the operational area. You will have a range of responsibilities to include quality assurance, coordination, recruitment, supervision and personnel development of all staff.
You will also be required to cover for the Registered Manager when needed and providing guidance, support and motivation for the team.
Role Requirements of Deputy Manager:
* Support and deputise for the Home Manager in their absence
* Assist the delegation of workloads and care resources
* Assist with training of new staff
* Support the management team
* Ensure high care standards are met on a day to day basis
* Maintaining the safe custody, administration and storage of medication
* Following all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice
* Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient/resident engagement
Qualification/Skill Requirements of Deputy manager:
* Experience in similar care environment
* NVQ Level 3 is essential
* Supervisory and leadership skills
* Willingness to develop new skills in self and others
