Deputy Editor - Travel Media - London/Hybrid. 

Are you an experienced editor with a passion for travel and storytelling? We're looking for a talented Deputy Editor to help shape the editorial direction of two leading travel publications across print, digital and multimedia platforms.

This is a varied and exciting role where you'll create engaging content, interview key industry figures, host podcasts, attend international events and play a key role in delivering award-winning editorial for both  trade and consumer audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Research, write and edit engaging content for print, digital and social channels.

Source exclusive news stories and interview senior figures from across the travel industry.

Commission and edit features from freelance writers and industry contributors.

Support the planning and production of magazines, websites, newsletters and digital content.

Help produce and co-host a regular industry podcast, sourcing guests and developing engaging content ideas.

Represent the business at UK and international events, conferences, trade shows and press trips.

Contribute to live events, conferences and awards through presenting, hosting and moderating sessions.

Produce lifestyle, travel, destination and product features for consumer audiences.

Create and edit sponsored and branded content, working closely with commercial clients to deliver high-quality campaigns.

Lead editorial projects, supplements and special publications, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

Build and maintain strong relationships with industry contacts, PR agencies and key stakeholders.

Deputise for senior editors when required, helping to oversee editorial planning and content delivery.

What We're Looking For

Previous editorial or journalism experience, ideally within travel, cruise, hospitality or B2B publishing.

Outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills.

Strong interviewing and networking abilities.

Experience producing content across print, digital, newsletters and social media.

Confident presenter with an interest in podcasting or live events.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Commercial awareness and experience producing branded or sponsored content would be an advantage.

A proactive, creative approach and a genuine passion for travel and the cruise industry.
