Vacancy Brief:

* The vacancy is that of a Deputy Domestic Abuse Manager; this is initially a four-to-Six-month interim contract.

* This is a full-time job post; 35 hours a week, mainly accommodation based.

* Working pattern is Monday to Friday 9am -5pm.

* Pay rate for this Vacancy is £17.15 per hour on PAYE OR £21.87 Umbrella.

* This vacancy will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check covering Child and Adult Workforce.

* Full UK Driver's license and access to a vehicle for this job role is essential.

* This job post is based in Shrewsbury.

The Responsibilities:

* In your job role as a Deputy Domestic Abuse Manager, you will establish and maintain support for women, men and their children experiencing or who have experienced domestic violence and abuse who are over the age of 16.

* As a Domestic Abuse Services Manager, you will manage all referrals for those wishing to access our safe accommodation both in refuge, multiple disadvantage refuge and in our dispersed accommodation units based on a comprehensive risk assessment process.

* Part of your job role, you will provide information and sources of help including emergency accommodation, legal options, welfare entitlement and housing.

* An important aspect of your role in this post will be to support the transition from the refuge into safe and independent living via our resettlement service.

* Furthermore, as a Deputy Domestic Abuse Manager, you will maintain an effective support service with the aim of enabling the survivor to develop the skills and resources necessary to move on and maintain independence and self-reliance.
