Deputy Director - Toxicology

Description:

Talentmark is recruiting for a Deputy Director of Toxicology to join a specialist organisation in the UK.

This is a leadership role, supporting the Director of Toxicology in driving laboratory performance, business growth and the development of new services.

Deputy Director of Toxicology Role:

Support the development and delivery of the toxicology strategy and deputise for the Director when required.
Lead and develop teams of supervisors, scientists and administrators, driving performance and employee development.
Improve laboratory productivity, efficiency and service quality within a high-throughput environment.
Contribute to commercial projects, tender bids and the development of new products and services.
Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction and the adoption of new technologies.
Support compliance with ISO 17025, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, working closely with the QHSE Manager.
Collaborate across the business to deliver strategic projects and growth objectives.Your Background:

Hold a degree or higher qualification in a relevant scientific discipline.
Have experience in a managerial / strategic role, ideally within toxicology or laboratory services.
Experience in a high-throughput, regulated or accredited environment.
Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L understanding.
A track record of improving operational efficiency and delivering projects.
Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.Company:
