Excellent opportunity to join an NHS Trust within Essex as the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities on a 12 month fixed term contract. As the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities you will be responsible for the operational and strategic management of the NHS Trust's estate.

Your new role
This senior role within the organisation will be responsible for day-to-day and long-term strategic responsibility for the estate and facilities services. This will include capital project planning and delivery, estate management, facilities management, workforce management, health and safety, compliance and budget management. As part of the role you will be required to work with a variety of stakeholders including internal and external stakeholders. You will also be responsible for managing a small team of facilities and estates employees. This role will be offered on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. Hybrid working is available.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role you should have a related professional qualification e.g. RICS, CIOB, CIBSE, RIBA etc. Experience gained within a senior management role within estates and facilities is essential and experience working with NHS estates is preferred. You should have strong commercial acumen and leadership skills.
