£28k - £30k DOE

Monday-Friday

My client is looking for a Deputy Depot Supervisor to join their team! If you have previous experience as a Deputy Depot Supervisor, and are looking to join a reputable company, then LOOK NO FURTHER!

Duties include:

Assisting the Depot Supervisor with the daily supervision of Depot Support Staff including Delivery Drivers and Storekeeper

Monitoring Driver hours in line with legal regulations

Downloading drivers’ card and monitoring tachograph

Assuming the responsibilities of the Depot Supervisor in their absence

Dealing with visitors at the depot including customer collecting product

Taking customer order over the phone

Entering customer orders and return requests in to the inhouse system

Checking in paperwork from drivers when they return to the depot

Booking in stock

Working with the Depot Supervisor and Storekeeper to investigate and correct any stock differences

Understand and comply with company policies and procedures including Health and Safety

Any other duties required

The successful candidate will have / be:

Previous experience in a leadership position within the Transport industry

Experience working for an organisation that stores and distributes products

Forklift truck licence – in house licence accepted

Strong attention to detail skills in order to accurately check the accuracy of incoming and outgoing deliveries

Previous knowledge of tachographs and downloading driver cards

Happy to support the team with hands on and manual tasks where necessary
