Our client has an established service that provides over 1500 care hours within the community and have a structured care team with 5 team leaders and a fully staffed care team that continues to provide excellent care on a daily basis. My client are seeking a motivated and experienced Deputy Care Manager to join their dynamic team and support the Registered Care Manager and Operations Manager in maintaining and enhancing their high standards of care and to lead and develop their great care team.

Job Description:
As a Deputy Care Manager, you will assist the Registered Care Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the care services. You will ensure the highest standards of care are maintained while supporting the growth and efficiency of the service. Reporting directly to the Registered Care Manager, you will help lead and support the team to deliver exceptional care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in overseeing and managing the daily operations of the care service.
• Support, mentor, and supervise a team of over 50 staff members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. You will be supported by 5 team leaders.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality care that meets regulatory standards and company policies.
• Help develop and implement strategies to grow the service and increase care hours.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Liaise with clients, families, and external agencies to ensure excellent customer service.
• Support staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure all safeguarding and health and safety policies are adhered to.
• Share oncall duties – 1 in 4 weekends

Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Deputy Manager/Care Manager or Care Coordinator in a domiciliary care setting.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent and a willingness to work towards Level 5
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and forward-thinking approach.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Driver’s licence and access to own vehicle
• Resident in the UK with the right to work – Sponsorship is not available
