Looking for a fulfilling and rewarding career in the childcare sector? Look no further! We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Deputy Manager at our Brand New Ofsted registered children's home.
As the Deputy Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the home and providing high-quality care and support to our young residents. You will work closely with the Manager to lead and manage the staff team, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed, and that the home remains fully compliant with Ofsted regulations.
Our client is an established residential provider who provide quality therapeutic care to enable growth in the young people they work with. They work therapeutically with children and young people who have experienced abusive, neglectful, and / or chaotic and traumatic situations, and who need specialised professional support in learning how to cope with the pressures and demands of day-to-day living before they can be expected to survive and thrive in a family-based placement.
About You.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and have experience working in a similar setting at Senior Level. You should be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people, and have a keen understanding of the challenges facing children in care. You should also be a strong communicator, able to build positive relationships with staff, residents, and 3rd parties.
Knowledge (Essential)
* Working knowledge of Child Protection & Safeguarding
* Knowledge of the mental health needs of children and adolescents
* Knowledge of the Children Act & Children’s Homes Regulations
* Understanding and knowledge of Therapeutic Approach to Childcare
