A dedicated individual is required to help run a friendly and comfortable Residential Care Home within the Drayton area as their new Head of Care / Care Manager. The home is a small, 28 bedded service which caters for elderly and dementia clients and they are a part of an independent, family-run care company.
This is a full-time, permanent position paying £14.00-14.50 per hour (DOE) and working 4-5 days per week. (40 hours/week plus optional overtime) This is a mixture of 8am-8pm and 8am-4pm shifts with 2 shifts on the floor and 2 supernumerary. You will work in support of the Registered Manager to ensure that the care provided is to the highest possible standards and that all duties are being reliably carried out.
Previous Deputy Care Manager experience is preferred however this could be the ideal role for an experienced Care Team Leader or Senior Care Assistant looking to take their first step up into a managerial role.
The successful candidate will have previous Team Leading experience in an elderly care home environment with good leadership skills and a strong personality. As Head of Care / Deputy Manager you will work as the link between the Senior Carers and Home Manager, ensuring that the care home’s high standards are maintained.
Deputy Care Manager Skills and Experience:
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care minimum
* Medication training
* Must be proficient with: care planning process, risk assessments, supervisions of staff, liaising with families and other healthcare professionals
Deputy Care Manager duties will include:
* Shift leading and ensuring a high quality of person-centred care is provided at all times
* Creating and updating care plans, carrying out care plan meetings when appropriate
* Working on the floor
Suitable for: Care Team Leader, Head of Care, Care Coordinator, Deputy Care Manager or similar
