Job Title: Depot/Field Engineer

Location: Gloucestershire

Hours: 40 per week

Our client a global leading manufacturer of innovative cutting-edge technology are looking for a hands-on Depot/Field Engineer to join their rentals division. You will become a specialist in providing engineering solutions for their industrial equipment including air compressors, generators, pumps and more ensuring all key clients can maintain their operations and productivity efficiently as possible.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of rental solutions. From troubleshooting and maintenance to on-site repairs, you will be the driving force behind their commitment to unparalleled customer satisfaction. This role offers a unique blend of technical challenges, client interaction, and the chance to work with innovative equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out servicing and maintenance on varied compressed air equipment, power generation equipment and associated products
Assisting field service engineers on-site as needed.
Following service schedules, conducting test procedures, and meticulously recording information, with a keen eye for identifying and addressing service issues affecting equipment performance, safety, and reliability.
Proficiently diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in various compressed air equipment and associated products.
Conducting thorough fault-finding assessments and implementing effective elimination processes.
Demonstrating proficiency in understanding, interpreting, and adhering to drawings and diagrams.
Efficiently managing spare parts requests for maintenance and servicing, ensuring the selection of appropriate spares and following correct documentation procedures.
Producing concise reports and actively participating in discussions and meetings with field service engineers and management, when necessary.
Flexibly performing skill-related duties as required, including supporting colleagues when needed.
Upholding and complying with company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHS&E) standards, adhering to , ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards, and actively contributing to the identification of areas for continual improvement.
Executing all assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner, prioritising safety above all else.
 
Requirements:

Experience and knowledge of diesel engines is essential
Strong mechanical background with expertise in fault finding, diagnosis, and completion of concise reports.
Apprenticeship in mechanical or mechanical and electrical is essential.
Competence in electrical wiring, air diagrams, and drawings, with the ability to trace faults through structured elimination processes.
Familiarity with international electronic systems and air systems, including symbols, diagrams, and colour coding/markings.
Ability to perform servicing requirements such as oil and filter changes and completion of servicing documentation.
Skilled in assessing and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
Excellent PC/computer skills, including data entry, report typing, and diagnostic equipment management systems.
Full clean driving license.
