Description:

Reporting to the Depot Manager, the foreman is responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of a busy pump/plant hire depot.

The role of Depot Foreman requires an in-depth knowledge of diesel-powered plant equipment including some knowledge of hydraulics.

The ability to fault find, oversee routine maintenance and carry out basic engineering work is a necessary requirement.

The Foreman is responsible for the supervision of a team of service engineers, electricians and drivers, ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety requirements in addition to the upkeep of some depot administration and plant equipment documentation.

The Foreman must have good communication skills as they will be dealing with customers on site and over the telephone, and colleagues within the group, as an everyday occurrence.

The company operates an out of hours call out system.

As Depot Foreman you will be required at times, to be available to respond to customer requests or breakdowns 24hours per day.

Must have full driving licence
