Job Title: Demand Planner
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £35,000
Working Pattern: Site - based

This is a key role that is integral to the day-to-day running of the business and its ability to grow. The main focus will be planning, forecasting and problem solving.
The business:
A market leader within the FMCG industry.
Supplying the major Grocery Retailers such as Tesco, Sainsburys, Aldi etc.Your specific accountabilities will be to:
Maintain and improve our long term forecasting system.
Use this to provide guidance to our Factory team and our logistics partners to ensure perfect planning.
Undertake sales capture and analysis using IRI Worldwide Unify database and Crunch data (specific training available, but must understand POS data).
Own the daily forecasts supplied by our customers. Challenge where necessary.
Provide insight which will guide product development direction and commercial opportunity in the markets we trade.
Find new ways of working with our suppliers to improve service and control cost.
Support the wider team in customer meetings with insightful presentations.
Plan the Peak (high volume promotions, seasonal) sales periods.You must be able to demonstrate the following:
Strong IT/systems use, with good Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong Analytical Skills, and the ability to data mine EPOS data to help support sales opportunities for the business. e.g. Dunnhumby/Kantar World Panel/IRI Worldwide.
Confidence in delivering presentations and producing written reports which may form the basis of communication to customers or internal Directors: presenting solutions and influencing others.
The ability and confidence to make changes and improvements within the business
Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of the business affecting the forecast process.
