Description:

We have a very profitable site producing circa 20,000 tonnes of product per year, we have also continued to grow at an impressive rate, with those growth plans set to continue. We need an experienced and strong-willed Demand/Production Planner to help ensure our planning processes are top notch from raw material to finished product.
 
BASIC SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Production Planner, Demand Planner - Adhesives, Industrial Consumables
 
As our Production Planner / Demand Planner you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth production planning process from raw material getting to site to product delivery to the customer.
 
You will also be responsible for:
· Being the interface between Business Assistants, Customer Service and Production.
· Ensuring correct and timely requests for raw materials.
· Working in accordance with company's values, HR and HS&E policies: instructions, minimum requirements and guidelines.
· Overseeing stock checks and advise on safety stock requirements.
· Providing short term cover for site logistics specialist.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Production Planner, Demand Planner - Adhesives, Industrial Consumables
 
Your planning experience will ideally come from a manufacturing environment where REACH / COSHH / COMAH regulations are a consideration. This isn't a pre-requisite but would be hugely beneficial. You will also have some experience or exposure to SAP or similar MERPS in a manufacturing environment.
 
In addition, you will have:
· A good standard of education
· Solid Excel capabilities and comfortable with all office systems
· Excellent knowledge of production processes
· Demonstrable experience in the field of Planning and/or logistics

We are a synthetic resin manufacturer based in the UK. We produce an ever-widening range of resins primarily based on unsaturated polyester and alkyd chemistry. We also manufacture a range of speciality resins with urethane, epoxy, and acrylic functionality.
 
It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services:  Planning, Planner, Demand, Supply Chain, Logistics, Materials Management, Demand Planner, Production Planner, Production Manager, Chemicals, Adhesives, Raw Materials, Resins, Epoxy, Chemistry, Urethane, Polyester, Raw Material Sourcing, Purchasing.
